Admission to the Draper Program
Admission to the Draper Program is open to persons who hold a bachelor's degree in any major or professional field from an accredited college or university. No specific undergraduate courses are required as prerequisites. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in undergraduate courses is recommended. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required. For international students, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is mandatory, with a recommended minimum score of 650 (280 on the computerized version or 114 on the Internet version). The TOEFL requirement is waived for students whose BA or MA degrees were completed at an institution where the language of instruction is English.
(Please note that submission of GRE scores is now required of all applicants. Because of technical and legal limitations, other Draper and GSAS Web pages may still indicate that the GRE is only recommended. The admissions requirements given in the preceding paragraph are correct and supersede any and all others that may appear elsewhere.)
Applications are accepted on a continuing basis, and students may begin their studies in the fall or spring. Draper deadlines (different from those for the rest of the Graduate School) are July 1 for fall admission and December 1 for spring admission.
