Draper uses an electronic mailing list to notify students of important dates, deadlines, and program events. As this is the program's main form of communication with our students, we strongly urge you to subscribe.
To subscribe: Log into NYU Home. In the 'Lists' section, click on the 'Browse and Subscribe to an NYU List' link. Draper's listserv can be found under the heading of "NYU Departmental/Program Lists" as 'draper-program.' Check the box next to this heading and hit the 'Subscribe' button at the bottom of the page. 'Draper-Program' should then appear in the Lists section on your NYU Home page, under 'Current Subscriptions.'
Draper Blog: Interregnum
We at Draper are excited to announce the launching of our new blog, Interregnum.
Taking the place of our traditional semiannual newsletters, Interregnum
will be a dynamic source of information about the Draper community,
including student and alumni news and announcements, faculty news, and
events and resources of interest. Check it out at http://draperprogram.blogspot.com/
We'll be updating the blog each week on Thursday, so keep checking back!

DSO Events:
Draper Forums
These informal discussion groups require no preparation, and no readings. Simply attend and contribute to discussion. The forums will resume in the fall 2009 semester.
Important Deadlines
Thursday, August 16th
Master's Thesis/Thesis Topic Approval Submission
Students who plan to graduate in September 2009 must submit their approved MA Thesis no later than Monday, August 17th. Theses submitted after this date will be held for January 2010 graduation. Students planning to graduate in January should submit their Thesis Topic Approval Form (available on our 'Forms' page) by this date as well.
Important Dates
Draper Fall 2009 Advising
Tuesday, August 18th - Thursday, September 3rd
Draper will hold academic advising appointments for the fall semester
from Tuesday, August 18th through Thursday, September 3rd.
You may call Draper at 212.998.8070 beginning July 13th to schedule your
appointment.
Please remember that all students who are still completing course work
must have an advising appointment before receiving access codes for fall
courses. Students who will only be registering for Maintenance of
Matriculation are not required to have an appointment.
Fall 2009 Orientation
Thursday, September 3rd
5:00 - 7:00 PM, Location TBA
Incoming and returning students are encouraged to attend our fall orientation to receive important information about starting the semester, learn about fall courses and upcoming events, as well as meet faculty and staff. A reception will follow in the Draper Map room and food and drink will be served.
Open Houses for Prospective Students
Draper will be holding three open houses over the summer for prospective students. These open
houses are opportunities to meet with Draper staff, learn more
about the program, and have your questions answered. All open houses
will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in Draper's office at 14 University
Place (1st floor). Please RSVP at draper.program[at]nyu.edu.
